Pet Walking
Red Wellies Pet Care is unique in that it only offers solo or 1-2-1 dog walking. This means that we will only walk your dog or dogs the same way that you do. We totally understand that group dog walking is more profitable and less cost for an owner, but the collection & delivery of animals and the limited interaction is often in stark contrast to the way that the owner loves and cares.
Prices are based on a number of factors including, time of day, weekday & weekend and bank and statutory holidays. Our standard times are 9.00am to 5.00pm, with peak times between 10.00am and 2.00pm. Travel time, rather than distance, is also a factor as is the number of dogs in the household and the regularity and session length. In addition, there are only a limited number of sessions available each week and an extra charge for a specific team member.
Three examples to illustrate the various factors.
- Dog that is walked twice a week at 11.00am (standard) for 60 mins that lives less than 15 mins from Canford Bottom Roundabout is typically £18.00 (per session), paid monthly in advance.
- One off dog walk at 1.30pm (peak) up to 30 mins travel for a 30 min walk is typically £14.00 (per session) booked and paid for in advance.
- Regular dog walk at 1.30pm (peak) up to 15 mins travel for a 60 min walk is typically £18.00 (per session) paid monthly in advance.
Pop-ins, which don’t necessarily involve a walk, is a visit for feeding, companionship and play, is priced similarly.
Pet Sitting
Pet Sitting is for longer periods, typically 4+ hours to weeks, the latter involves sleeping over and leaving the dog/pets for ~3 hours during the day to see other clients.
These are naturally tailored to the clients and dogs needs, but typical prices are:
- 4 hour pet sit (single dog), with up to 30 min travel time, including an optional walk is typically £45 booked and paid for in advance.
- 8 hours pet sit (single dog), including 2 optional walks is typically £55 booked and paid for in advance.
- 24 hours pet sit (single dog), including 2 optional walks is typically £70 booked and paid for in advance.
- Weekly (single dog) (7 x 24 hours) £490, plus Bank Holiday surcharge if applicable, but no weekend supplement
- Fortnightly (single dog) (14 x 24 hours) £980, plus Bank Holiday surcharge if applicable, but no weekend supplement
- Second dog, typically plus 50%, third and subsequent dog, typically 15%
Cats and other animals are less, e.g. 24 hour cat sit is typically £55
There is an extra charge for weekends, bank and statutory holidays and longer travel times.

Pet Travel
Many pet owners are unable to take their pets, be it to vets for routine checkup and emergency treatment or hydrotherapy and the groomers for dogs.
Transports can be with and without the owner, but a suitable carrier must be used for all animals except dogs and is available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
- Up to 1hr/60 mins and including 10 miles – £18.00
- Each 15 mins or part of after + £3.00
- Each additional mile is 50p
- *Emergency trip to vet or other (up to midnight, 7 days a week) £25.00 plus £4.00 every 15 minutes thereafter.
